Our native extracts are produced using rainwater that is filtered and deionised to hospital standards. Using rainwater not only helps combat water scarcity but is also an effective way to limit the environmental damage that can be caused by stormwater runoff.
Water-based formulas mean a preserving system is required to maintain the highest quality and stability so you can use it safely on your skin. We use a COSMOS and ECOCERT certified preservative which focuses on safety from the production of raw materials to the distribution of finished products. They also promote the use of ingredients derived from renewable resources and production and manufacturing processes that are environmentally safe.
With the planet, and its plants, animals and people front of mind, our native extracts supplier has always placed a strong focus on empowering Indigenous communities and the continual advancement and improvement of sustainable and ethical practices. Through circular economies which intentionally design waste out of the consumer cycle, our supplier is able to keep products and materials in use whilst regenerating natural systems. Find out more.
The production of palm oil contributes to destroying the habitats of endangered animals through rapid deforestation and we're just not about that. This large-scale destruction of rainforests is also releasing significant quantities of carbon pollution into the atmosphere, making palm oil a major global driver of human-induced climate change. When should I use brightening serum?
Lighten Up Brightening Serum is best used after cleansing and toning, and before moisturising, this allows for maximum absorption of the active ingredients. Apply before bed to maximize efficacy because,
while you snooze your skin checks off all of its restorative tasks.
Should I rub pat or serum?
Light pressure works to increase blood circulation, which is beneficial for the skin cells. However, if you have sensitive skin which already has redness use the patting technique.
What are the benefits of the lighten up brightening serum?
Our serum works to brighten the skin, even out skin tone, lighten and reduce visible flaws (including dark spots) while leaving skin nourished.

So Light and Lasts forever
I'm not one for a lengthy complicated skin care routine. Anything that requires mixing, layering or one at night and one in the morning kind of thing is usually not on my list of required items. You don't really need four serums, three masks, a day and night eye cream, day and night moisturisers for different climates, hyaluronic acid (what a scam!) or toners that dry out your skin and require you to add more creams to even that out. Basic cleansing, care and sunscreen will save you much in skin care costs and so much extra time. This serum is super easy to use and is so refreshing and light weight. All I need to do is add a few drops to my finger tips and smooth it over my face after I've washed my face and voila! the work is done. One step, not ten steps. Five seconds tops! It is not greasy, oily, creamy or thick. It doesn't leave a film or get sticky. It dries within seconds, and Vitamin C, as a topical skincare product, is the only thing that is scientifically proven to have an impact on the condition of your skin. The packaging is environmentally friendly and recyclable. Using a dropper is the safest way to keep your product uncontaminated, and the labels are elegant. No Palm oil or nasty ingredients that damage our environment and bodies. I cannot find any disadvantages in using these products. I can add my face oil and moisturiser/sunscreen over the top and not feel like I've suffocated my skin. My skin seems to brighter and softer. AND it is so reasonably priced!!!! I will be sticking wth this for a long while to come....... Female, 51, Living in Victoria, conscious of my impact in the world.
